- We developed three Breast Centers of Excellence in Alaska: two in Anchorage and the first and only center in the Mat-Su valley. Our breast imagers are the first and most experienced 3D mammographers in Alaska.
Alaska’s Leading Breast and Women’s Imaging Team
- Dr. Heather Tauschek, Dr. Elaine Pigman and Dr. Brittnay O'Steen with specialty training in breast and women’s imaging, oversee the largest dedicated women’s imaging team in the state. Alongside incredible nurse practitioners, physician assistants, skilled technologists, and sonographers, they pay attention to every detail of a patient’s experience. Women’s Imaging runs the gamut from pelvic pain workup to infertility evaluation and breast cancer early detection and diagnosis. Our local Alaskan imaging team takes care of patients, from age 16 to 100+ years of age, with expertise, compassion, and kindness.

“Check-in went smoothly with the helpful receptionist. I received a nice greeting by Matt prior to MRI without enduring an endless wait for the appointment. He walked me through the procedure and he initiated a nice conversation to put me at ease. Following the MRI he showed me my MRI image and explained briefly what we were looking at. He said it would be read in the next couple hours and forwarded to my physician. That having been done, my physician called me to set up a follow-up appointment so we could proceed with the next step to cure the ailment. Overall an EXCELLENT experience at Imaging Associates.
